Definition of Halaal
Halāl (Arabic: حلال ḥalāl, "permissible"), refers to what is permissible or lawful in traditional Islamic law. It is frequently applied to permissible food and drinks. It is the opposite of Haraam. (not permissble)

Halaal is not just about being slaughtered in a specific way, or abstaining from certain ingredients but rather it is a symbol, the mark of a GOOD, HEALTHY and TRUSTED product.
"Then eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And be grateful for the favor of Allah, if it is [indeed] Him that you worship. " [Quraan 16:114]
Permissible animals must be slaughtered by Muslims in accordance with Islamic advocated practices. Muslims also do not consume alcohol and pork and contamination of halaal products must be avoided.
